Using Conflict
Often conflict is portrayed as something that people need to respond to and manage. This course takes a different approach; it looks at how the individual unintentionally can create conflict and then it identifies ways in which a person can use it.
Content: Pros and cons of conflict, conflict through personal perception, conflict accelerators, personal conflict managing style, conflict management strategies.
Outcomes:
• Recognition that conflict has a positive and negative side
• Greater awareness of personal contribution to conflict
• Identification of conflict handling habits
• Tools to help prepare a person for a conflict situation
• A personal action plan to develop further.
Who is it for?
For people who have already had experienced conflict in their work roles and realistically anticipate that it will occur again. Ideally people will have already looked at their interpersonal communication skills.
