'Resilience'
J Clarke & Dr J Nicholson 2010
Lively book which explores resilience research and comes up with a new resilence model. It refers to NLP models several times when guiding people on how to build thier resilience. It is helpful yet, as with self help books, I wonder how many readers will put it into action.

Who Killed Change?
Blanchard, Britt, Ziarmi and Hoekstra 2009
A quick fun read - acting as a reminder as to what can derail organisational change.

'Outliers'
M Gladwell
Allen Lane 2008
An easy read. Debunks the mythes about success and shows how people really become a sucess. Also makes an unintentional case for coaching!

Breaking news (Nov 2011)

Despite the recession, OPP have just published a report that suggests around a 20% of employees regularly think about quitting their job!

Is this a problem for you and your organisation? Undoubtedly there is the issue of motivation and potentially a loss of experience and knowledge.

Viewed from this perspective, then training, the use of MBTI and facilitation will help turn people around.

Or is it healthy? Since if people leave then there is an opportunity to bring in 'fresh faces'. If this is the issue then perhaps people need help with their ‘exit strategy’. This could come in the form of a course given sufficient numbers or one to one coaching.
